Lithium polymer battery are most commonly used battery for better performance 

The standard voltage for a single cell lithium polymer battery is 3.7 volt

1cell = capacity of 3.7 volt 

What is meant by 3s or 3cell battery?

1cell or 1s = 1* 3.7 volt

                   = 3.7 volt

3s or 3cell = 3*3.7 volt
 
                   =11.1 volt

Similar for 4cell also..

 4s or 4cell = 4*3.7 volt

                     =14.8 voltage

In 3s the 3battery is connected in series to single pack.
